Mudam-se os tempos...

Estou curiosa,
Que medalhas ganhariam o primeiro e segundo classificados na idade do bronze?

Afinal havia outros...

Num dos ocupadíssimos momentos no facebook, descobri um grupo, ao qual por sinal aderi de imediato, intitulado "Yes, I Laugh at My Own Jokes – I Can't Help that I'm Hilarious".

Comecei a ler e vi que afinal não estou sozinha no mundo (quer dizer, sozinha com o meu irmão, porque ele é a mesma coisa). A descrição diz:

If you...:
- are often the only one laughing in what would otherwise have been an awkward silence following a joke you made;
- are, when others do laugh at your jokes, still laughing the hardest of anyone;
- have ever, after noticing that no one laughed at a particularly clever / smart / witty / pun-tastic / hilarious joke you made, repeated the joke, assuming that they didn't hear it (as this is obviously the only plausible explanation for the initial lack of laughter);
E não é só repetir a piada, é tentar explicá-la, o que por vezes destrói a piada de imediato.
- have ever concluded that the reason no one laughed at a joke you made was because they didn't fully – or didn't at all – "get" it; (aqui volta ao ponto anterior da explicação, primeiro não a percebem, depois de explicada não tem piada)
- have ever said (and perhaps repeated) the words "get it?" with extra emphasis in an attempt to goad whoever heard – but didn't laugh at – your hilarious joke into a state of understanding so that they too can appreciate your comic genius / general hilarity (and, express this through audible, and oh-so-satisfying, laughter)
- have ever re-read (sometimes several times) an sms, email, comment, wall post etc after you sent it 'cos you thought it was so funny, and then laughed at it again, despite already laughing at it when you wrote it;
- have ever struggled to even SAY a joke or witticism because you were already laughing so hard at it

...then this group is for you!

Todos os pontos, não falha um... finalmente aguém me percebe :)
